







This competition invites narrative screenwriters to submit their original short scripts for consideration, with the winning project slated for full production development by 2801 Productions and a premiere at a future annual festival.
Submissions will be accepted through Film Freeway. One screenplay is allowed per writer. Multiple scripts from the same writer are not permitted.
All submissions must meet the following criteria to be considered:
Following the close of submissions, a panel of judges will review all eligible entries. This year's judging panel includes filmmaker Kristen Buckels (Swim Fishy, Search Party), filmmaker Daniell Hanna (Succubus, Hard Miles), screenwriter Colin Liddle and Emmy and Golden Globe Award-winning actor Paul Walter Hauser. Their combined experience brings valuable industry insight to the competition.
Selected finalists will have the honor of participating in a live table read at the 7th Annual Rogers Short Film Festival, hosted by Caleb Wall and Nathan Mardis of 2801 Productions, providing a unique public platform for their work.
The competition winner will be announced at the festival awards ceremony. 2801 Productions will produce the winning screenplay as a finished short film, with the completed project targeted to premiere at the following annual festival.
